New user here, closure of second life and copybots? - WestClarkson - 02-21-2017

Just a new user here, who has heard of the rollout of Second Life 2.0 or Project Sansar, and there are rumors going around that we are going to be losing Second Life altogether. Now, I finally have made the leap to actually using a copybot, because me and even a BUILDER friend (who does use some other creators' content) don't want to lose their content!

Apparently, the rumor is in 2018 or 2019 SL will be shuttered. Maybe it's just a rumor, but backups are always a good policy. This means all our assets, gone. And that's why I'm finally taking the risk and playing the copybot game.

Follow this tutorial to learn how to CopyBot items in Second Life and post on the forum <a href="http://goonsquad.co/thread-13228.html">COPYBOT AND POSTING</a>

**When downloading Collada/mesh files you must have, at minimum, a general understanding dealing with mesh items and 3D software like Blender, Avastar etc.... .DAE files are not beginner friendly. First you must have an account in Second Life that will allow you to upload mesh files, see here --> https://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Uploading-a-mesh-model/ta-p/974185

Two important tools you will need with mesh is <a href="https://www.blender.org/">BLENDER</a>
and <a href="http://goonsquad.co/thread-10781.html?highlight=avastar">AVASTAR PLUGIN</a>

** Items that are XML or OXP you can simply upload them into the game via XML import or Linkset import (for .oxp files). (Beginner Friendly) All the textures will upload with the item.
