Hello,
I had copied a texture from a skin that I thought was great.
After the tutorial, I wanted to add this to the newly created base skin with the UUID.
In the preview it looks perfect. But as soon as I close the window after saving, the head and lower body turn gray.

Does anyone have any advice?

The uuid might be a temp one. Save the images as textures.Import them back in as textures, then apply them to the skin and try again.
