(Asked this before in shoutbox, but not going through the history looking for answer)

You copy something, and save it to .dae file, and open it in blender.
You don't make any adjustments upon it, but keep it the same.
Then you save it but rename it totally different..

Does it keep any creator or previous owner stuff?
Like if you reupload it, for yourself to use... Can you get busted?

Oh, I saw this in the box, and to answer your question.
No. None of the creators data is copied over, it's the same as if you were to swipe a sculpt only there is no sculpt map.
Only thing you should look out for however is logos they sneak in the textures That's the only thing that can really bust you.

So what you are saying, sometimes people slip their logo or some sort into the mesh, so you can see it when its texturized or some sort?

Well lemme give you an example I had swiped this beautiful couch from 8f8 and on the back of the couch was the logo of the store on the back of the couch >_<

Some times you'll see people using their logo as patterns on the fabric of things, so you'll wanna watch out for those.

Yeah, things like the original creator and all that junk doesn't carry over. So you're fine.

Do you usually use your main account to reupload the stuff? Or always a alt or some sort?

Ohh Okay, I think i will upload to inworldz first, check if it has logos.
If its all good, i can just upload to SL, as no one knows where it came from, and i could have easily made it myself.
