if you have problems uninstal, delete the darkstorm/settings folder and reinstall

- minor changes & some bugs fixed

If you have problems, try delete settings & cache folders:
Windows
C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Darkstorm

Crucial has a memory test you can download and it'll tell you what your PC supports. It'll also recommend parts for your computer. Which, you can get at other places much cheaper like newegg, eBay, etc.

You didn't mention what is "enough memory"...  So, how much is enough?

So I went back to using Darkstorm and just tried to move stuff with only sculpts and no mesh. Now for example, I could save some hair from SL, and Darkstorm saves that as an XML file. It stores all the information about that "hair" like, size, position, rotation, scale, and so on. Most importantly it store the UUID of the Texture and the Sculpt Texture. Now when you import that back into SL, it works great because SL keeps track of EVERY single UUID for every texture that has ever existed in SL. It doesn't actually move the texture, it just brings along its UUID.

Well, here is where the problem is...  All the OS grids have no clue about the UUID you have stored in your XML file, so when you are trying to import the hair into the OS Grids, it does not know what to do with that UUID. It can't find it in its master list of UUIDs so it just fails and puts a "blank" in both the texture and the sculpt map. That will give you a really nice white blob.

So, solution #1 is to also copy the textures and the sculpt maps for your object and apply them manually. Trust me, this is a MAJOR pain in the ass. and it is feasable for pair of shoes with a couple of sculpties, but something like hair? Forget it.

Now I am working on an idea for solution #2, which is to copy all the sculpt maps and textures first, copy all the UUIDs for each into the XML file and replace the old SL UUIDs with new OS Grid UUIDs, and THEN import the object. In theory, it should work nicely. I will work on it and let you know what I figure out. I have to learn how to read the XML files first.

In closing, I am wondering if the XML files is supposed to somehow change the texture and sculpt map UUIDs without any manual labor. It must have worked at some point in the past. I just have to figure out how it is supposed to work and why it fails.

If you check 'download textures' when you are saving the XML file and check 'upload textures' when importing the XML file it will apply the textures and sculpt maps for you so you don't have to do it manually.

This Viewer is so far out of date it is not funny, you keep hear Wish gona have a Update out Soon, 2 years between updates is nuts, and I'm not saying Darkstom is a great viewer but is saddly way out of date.

Hey, I am new to copybots and the what not, is it possible to rip objects with this? Main reason I am looking for a copybot, lost my old account due to hacking, my land is still up, and I want to rip back my Gacha items. Is it possible with this?
